WELCOME TO WHERE ADVENTURE IS PART OF OUR NAME!
We are a group of adventurers who love the outdoors, especially hiking, kayaking, canoeing, bike riding, and walking the beach. We also have indoor adventures including lunches and dinners, happy hours, comedy clubs, and whatever else we feel like. And meeting new people and making new friends along the way makes it even better!

When you RSVP yes to attend an event, or participate in the group, you and your guests expressly waive any and all such claims against each and every other member in the group, including without limitation any and all claims against the group organizer or assistant organizers or event hosts.
NEW MEMBERS: please read the following sections before joining our group.
RULES OF CONDUCT This is a fun group, and our members are very diverse. We are open to all walks of life and avoid controversial topics or criticizing another person's beliefs or background. If anyone asks for a topic to be dropped or not started (especially religion and politics), drop it immediately! Failure to do so, and blatant acts of bigotry, intolerance or sexual harrasment will result in you being removed from the group. Also, nit-picking and criticizing the host will not win you any friends. All the hosts are volunteers and most of the trips are free, unless we have to pay a vendor or outfitter. If it is an issue of safety, of course speak up. But if it is a matter of preference, consider hosting your own trip, then you can have it your way.
DUES AND DONATIONS There are no mandatory dues but donations are accepted to pay meetup.com their annual fee for maintaining the website. Please make donations directly to Alex when you see her Average annual donation is $5. Without donations the group cannot continue.
HOSTING A TRIP You will notice that there are different hosts leading trips in our group. All that is required to be a host is a knowledge of a certain area and activity and a willingness to be the point person for that trip. Click on "suggest a meetup" and fill out as much as you can, then message Alex that you have done so. Nothing will be announced to the group until your meetup is edited to your satisfaction. You will get lots of help doing this, especially the first time, and you can keep the size of the group as small as you like.
MAINTAINING YOUR MEMBERSHIP members are automaticaly removed if they haven't checked our website for over a year. The number of members we have affects what we must pay meetup.com so we don't keep inactive members. At least once a year you must click on our website, or you will be removed (if that happens and you still want in, then just re-apply)
