DREAMING OF THE SHADOW
The shadow is a Jungian concept used to describe the parts of the unconscious mind made up of all the undesirable aspects of our psyches that we have unconsciously rejected, disowned, repressed or denied. The shadow is our dark side, comprised of everything within us that we don’t want to face. Yet the shadow is not evil or bad – it is merely the sum of those parts of us that are incompatible with who we think we are.
In this special one off workshop Buddhist lucid dreaming teacher and Hay House author Charlie Morley teams up with professional artist and creative-meditation teacher Caroline McCready to guide people into a relationship with their forgotten powerhouse of creativity: the Shadow.
CG Jung said "Everyone carries a shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual's conscious life, the blacker and denser it is." Through conscious dreaming practices, creative writing exercises and lots of hands on art therapy we aim to explore and embrace the shadow on its home turf: dreams and creativity. This workshop is a must for all those who want to engage the full potential of their Shadow through art and dreaming.
