Ex-Pats Luzern Football Tournament- 5 a side

Hey Everyone,
We have only a week to go before our big football tournament. Hope you are as excited as we all are! Let’s hope that summer finally starts soon and we get good weather!

We will divide up the teams into 4 groups of 5, play 15 minute games on 2 smaller pitches and have a winner at the end.

The pitch is one of the FCL pitches at the Allmend – all the way out past the FCL stadium, on your right just before the corner of Horwerstrasse and Ringstrasse!

Please be there at 15:30 to get ready – Kick-off is at 16:00 Sharp. Change rooms on site!

We will be asking everyone for a donation who plays and spectates – proceeds to go to the Queen Elizabeth Foundation in Memory of Tom Lamb!

Here’s a list of players so far (we could use about 10 more though):

Michael Holden
Leo Kidel
Johann Fulks (EF)
Matteo Fangi (EF)
James Gray
Paul Terry
James Hand
Warren Ibbotson
Jean Francois Jurus
Michael Osbourne
Jannis Stefanakis
Alex Vaughn Jones
Adam Bisenz
Paul Hagger
Tibor D'Angelo
Chris Wilson
Jason Aitken
Tony Williams
Shawn Leonard
James Miller
Tim Sutton

Then it’s off to our place in Emmenbruecke (Grudligstrasse 16, take bus 2 all the way to Sprengi) for a BBQ at the Holden’s starting at 19:00. We have organized a butcher who will supply all the sausages, meats, salads. Barbara and I will do the baked potatoes and a dessert as will a few others (Petra). We need to know the numbers for the BBQ afterwards so please let me know ASAP if you will come or not. It’s 30 Sfr per person – 15 Sfr per child 6 years and over (proceeds to go to the QEF as well) It’s also BYOB. We thought about heading into town for after dinner!

Please let me know by emailing me on [masked] or on facebook.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
Mike, James, Leo and Jimmy

The matches will take place on either Grass (if dry) or the 3G astro-turf if the conditions are wet. Bring appropriate footwear, normal boots should be fine on the plastic pitch should it rain.
