Hello Michael - thanks for your kind thoughts! Because we live in the boonies we are, of course, without power. Usually this means that we are also without water (pump) but this year for the first time we have a generator and it is keeping us warm & dry. Unfortunately it can't provide cable (phone, TV, Internet). When the chain saws had cleared my road my first destination was to Barnes & Noble to catch up on my mail. We are so much more fortunate than many.
I am looking on the bright side and looking forward to another photography trip. Will you be doing the monuments in DC this year? I would like to plan on doing this trip, even bought a tripod at PhotoPlusExpo in anticipation.
