It was really nice. The sea lions were the most amazing part of the whole experience. They are very smart and interacted with the crowds of people who stood around to watch them.

Great faux safari location. Though some of the exhibits were too dark to get the best photos.

Easy access by subway. This was a big plus for me as I hate going to the city in my car. The whole zoo was clean and well taken care of. All the animals and homes look very clean and well taken care of as well. Nice healthy look to them.

The trip can be pricey for people on a tight budget, but you get your money's worth. Even the food was tasty. You can see a lot for the general admission fee. I would only recommend the more expensive "total experience" package, if you are going with children and would like to take them to the special children's exhibits. Even if you pay separately for the Gorilla Congo and Jungle exhibits, you are paying less than if you paid for the Total Experience.

Zoos are an amazing place in general, but large zoos like the Bronx Zoo is simply over the top. It's not only the type and amount of animals, but also the history and architecture of the place as well. Yeah, some exhibits were a bit depressing, but then others were just, well, amazing. This is one of those locations that should be a yearly journey for the group.

Of course, endless pictures!! Probably should be more places for cover for when the skies decide to open up. lol We were lucky on Sunday-just a drizzle. Be prepared to walk a lot because everything is SPREAD out.
