So come with any questions you might have. We look forward to helping make the process much easier and providing tips to help you prepare the highest quality application.
The intended audience is for those people applying to or interested in applying to MBA school programs as the workshops will encompass the different aspects of the application process. We will try to teach you to think like an admissions officer and to build your application package from the very criteria that MBA admissions committees will use to evaluate your candidacy. If you are unable to attend a workshop directly, you can read the Pages section which will house MBA admissions-related articles and participate in the discussion board which will answer specific questions about the process. People who have their MBA degrees or other pertinent expertise to offer a perspective on specific MBA schools, program types, functional or industry specializations, regional strengths, etc. are welcome to author articles in the Pages section (e.g. your specific school, your application profile and experience applying to MBA school, etc.) and also participate in the discussion board.
We will hold workshops every two months. The frequency and content of these workshops/meetings will be adjusted per demand and feedback. I have setup a thread in the Discussion section for members to provide feedback as to other content to cover that is not already addressed in the Workshop Details section. So please add any suggestions there as we wish for this to be iterative and the Meetups to become even better and more tailored as time progresses.
We will be meeting in a meeting room in Icon Brickell Tower 2 on the 15th Floor. The address is 495 Brickell Avenue. The meeting is free but valet parking will be $7. It is important that you RSVP as early as possible because seats are limited to 15 and an RSVP is needed because security will only let attendees on the list upstairs. If you have a problem finding the place or getting upstairs you can call Michael Cohan, the MBA Admissions Workshop organizer at 305-905-3315.
