Duruflé's Magnificent Requiem at Carnegie Hall

Good morning all,

We hope this finds you well!

We're thrilled to bring another exciting evening of music to our Carnegie Hall & Lincoln Center concertgoers! Don't miss the opportunity to hear the Masterworks Festival Chorus, New York City Chamber Orchestra, soloists and more on Monday, April 8th at 8pm at Carnegie Hall. We will arrange to meet again 45mins before the concert. More details coming soon!

The Masterworks Festival Chorus will be performing Duruflé's brilliant Requiem led by esteemed conductor Dr. Alan Raines featuring professional soloists and the New York City Chamber Orchestra. Raines' choirs have performed throughout the United States and Europe and have received countless invitations to perform for esteemed music conventions across the country.

This will be followed by the National Festival Chorus performing a selection of intricate choral works from Farthing, Haydn, Sowers and more, with guest conductor Dr. Jeffrey Redding.

This concert will also feature Eastern Kentucky University Singers, conducted by Dr. Richard Waters.

Make sure to reserve your spot early for this concert before seats sell out! Once you have booked your tickets, they will be available from the Box Office at Carnegie Hall from 4pm on the day of the performance.

Looking forward to meeting our new members and getting reacquainted with those of you who joined us last summer!

Thanks,

Christine

I have to agree with other comments, this was the best concert, and faure requiem also must be heard to compare. I agree that we should be able to meet at least one of the organizers before the concert.lets make an effort,i amsorry I did not see Michele your post to meet till it was too late. I am writing this after the avery concert, and am sorry to see our group not getting together is still a problem after reading the posts for this concert. I am willing to volunteer to help remedy this.

TThe concert is 2/3 of the evening's joy. Why are we skipping the other 3rd.I suggest that we meet and meet at a nearby place for coffee or wine before or after the concert.

    Why no mingling?
Has to be a better way. Perhaps a cell phone # so people can communicate????

    Hello all,
Sorry I didn't get to see you last night, there were some ticket issues that I needed to deal with, and Christine was actually singing in the concert :)
Hope you all enjoyed the evening. Next meetup is at the end of this month - we will all go for a drink/dinner near Avery Fisher beforehand to ensure we all get to meet!
