We're thrilled to bring our Carnegie Hall & Lincoln Center concertgoers an exciting evening at music at Lincoln Center's beautiful Alice Tully Hall on Monday evening, June 17th at 8:00pm, featuring a fantastic choral program with Grammy award-winning Guest Conductor Jerry Blackstone. For this performance, maestro Jerry Blackstone will present the National Festival Chorus in a selection of wonderful choral works including Brahms' Der Gang zum Liebchen, Handel's Zadok the Priest, Thomas Tallis's If Ye Love Me, and more!
Winner of two Grammy awards, Jerry Blackstone is the Director of Choirs and Chair of the Conducting Department at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance where he conducts the Chamber Choir.
The concert will also feature the Classical Saxophone Project with Orchestra 54 making their debut performance at Alice Tully Hall. Featuring Conductor Jean-Pierre Schmitt and saxophone soloist Javier Oviedo performing Hélène Rasquier's Samsara: Concerto for saxophone and strings.
Please reserve your spot early for this concert before seats sell out! Once you have booked your tickets, they will be available from the Box Office at Alice Tully Hall from 4pm on the day of the performance. Everyone will be seated together for the concert.
This is going to be a fabulous concert! Looking forward to meeting our new members and getting reacquainted with those of you who have joined us for previous concerts.
