We are excited to post another wonderful concert at Carnegie Hall and we hope you will join us again for Vaughan Williams' thrilling cantata Dona Nobis Pacem at Carnegie Hall on Monday, April 21 at 8:00pm. Revel in the gorgeous melodies and prayerful text in this wonderfully complex cantata, conducted by Guest Conductor James Rodde and performed by the Masterworks Festival Chorus and prominent soloists, with the full forces of the all-professional New York City Chamber Orchestra.
Also on the program is an exciting array of choral classics, including Lowry's How Can I Keep from Singing, Dickau's If Music Be the Food of Love, and the traditional spiritual My Soul's Been Anchored in the Lord, all performed by the National Festival Chorus and led by esteemed Guest Conductors Julie Yu and Joshua Oppenheim.
**We will be meeting at the bar of Iguana Cafe again for pre-concert drinks and food at 6:30pm. Iguana Cafe is a fun restaurant with the perfect atmosphere for our group. We went there for our last Meetup and of our members came out before the concert! Iguana Cafe is conveniently located close to Carnegie Hall at 240 W. 54th Street, between 8th & Broadway.
Make sure to reserve your spot early for this concert before seats sell out! Tickets are only $5 each, a great discount. You can purchase your ticket(s) directly on this event page.
Please note: Once you have booked your tickets, they will be available for collection under your full name (the name listed under your PayPal "Buyer Information" in payment, not your Meetup name) at the box office at Carnegie Hall as early as 4pm on the day of the performance. Each individual is responsible for picking up his or her own tickets. If you are planning to come out to Iguana before the concert, we suggest that you pick up your ticket(s) beforehand to avoid a long will call line right before the concert. Everyone from our Meetup group will be seated together.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
