Selections from Handel's Messiah at Lincoln Center

Hi all,

We are thrilled to be offering another fantastic concert and we hope you can join us again for Selections from Handel's Messiah in the intimate surrounds of Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Monday, April 28 at 8:00pm. Featuring the Masterworks Festival Chorus and the all-professional New York City Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Tim Sharp.

Guest Conductor Tim Sharp is Executive Director of the American Choral Directors Association, the world's largest association of choral conductors, students, scholars, composers, and choral industry representatives. An active conductor, Tim is in his fifth season as Artistic Director of the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, Tulsa, OK, where critics characterized his performances as having "stunning power" and "great passion and precision".

The concert will also feature Guest Conductor Sandra Peter and the National Women's Festival Chorus in a collection of choral works for female voices including, Ola Gjeilo's Shimmering, Hagen's Moon Goddess, Szymko's Arise, My Love, and more.

Make sure to reserve your spot early for this concert before seats sell out. Tickets are only $5, a fantastic discount. You can purchase your ticket(s) directly on this event page.

Please note: Once you have booked your tickets, they will be available for collection under your full name (the name listed under your PayPal "Buyer Information" in payment, not your Meetup name) at the box office at Alice Tully Hall as early as 4pm on the day of the performance. Each individual is responsible for picking up his or her own tickets. Everyone from our Meetup group will be seated together.

Don't miss Handel's acclaimed oratorio Messiah, and a wonderful performance from the National Women's Festival Chorus at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall!

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Best,

Christine

Elizabeth, the box office is completely separate from what we do and offer as part of this meetup. Please contact us directly if you would like to make changes to your order in future. This will avoid causing confusion at the box office as they are unaware of our lists and number of attendees from meetup. Thanks for the heads-up, it shouldn't be a problem.

This sounds great. Are there plans for a pre-concert get-together?

    April 23, 2014

    • Christine

Hi Rita! It's going to be a fantastic concert! There is a lovely restaurant cafe and bar in the foyer of Alice Tully Hall where most people will gather before the concert. I will be singing in the concert so I won't be able to meet beforehand, but I'm sure most will be at the cafe. Enjoy the concert!
