This group is for those who enjoy long, tough hikes. We organize our own, unsupported hikes as well as take advantage of ultra-hikes that are organized by others. While not a trail-running group, this group hikes fast. There are other groups in the area for novice hikers and those more interested in moderate length & difficulty hikes. Most of these hikes will be dayhikes, but I just changed the name to not exclude overnighters.

I've changed the zipcode for this group to Columbia. I live in Baltimore, other folks live in NoVa and most are in between. I figured Columbia is probably a good middle ground. Most "local" hikes will be from Southern Pa through Central Va, so the exact location of the group doesn't matter much. We can car-pool from multiple locations as appropriate.
