College of Southern Maryland EV Meetup

The College of Southern Maryland is hosting a LEGO Championship robotics event on April 5th and they've asked us if we could showcase some electric vehicles. If you are closer to Southern Maryland this event is for you! Lunch will be sponsored by CSM. Please join us and give back to the Community by sharing your experiences with your EV(s)! Hundreds of students and parents will be in attendance.

We'll be in parking Lot 3, across from the ST Building.

Campus Map:

The closest charging stations are at the Prime Street Grill in White Plains, the NRG eVgo Freedom Station at the St. Charles Town Center by Dicks Sporting Goods (open!), the Hilton Garden Inn, in Waldorf, and the Walgreens in La Plata.

Thanks to everyone that came out Saturday. It was a nice day. I'm hoping some day we'll be able to charge on campus. I'll keep working on them. If their instructors are as forward thinking as those at UMD, someone will buy an EV and take advantage of it.

Had a great time showing the Fit and talking to people, although the Teslas stole the show. Had 2 Model S and a Roadster.

Looks like it's going to be sunny tomorrow. We should have a nice, cool day.

I hope you all enjoy the day. Sorry to post so late but I will have a booth at the Howard County Green Fest tomorrow so will not be attending the meeting. Stay dry!

For those concerned about possible rain, we'll have a small tent setup.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
