One Helluva Ride

One Helluva Ride is very popular annual cycling event in SE Michigan organized by AABTS, Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society.

http://www.aabts.org/ohr/

I have anticipated many bike events in Michigan and this event by far servers the best lunch and snack. Bread, donuts, fruits, etc. are all purchased fresh in the morning of the event day from local market and bakery.

Don’t be late for the registration. It ends at 10am.
You must wear the helmet and bring water bottle for the ride.

The ride goes through beautiful Chelsea, Pinckney, and Waterloo area.
The traffic is very light and that is the reason many cyclists love the area.

The registration fee is now $35.
http://www.aabts.org/ohr/register.html

We will do 39, 64, 75 or 100 miles ride. If you are doing 75 or 100, you should come much earlier than this event start time and star earlier.

Leave your comments what miles you would ride and what time you would start. Use this event to find your ride buddies.

We can have drink afterward at Cleary’s Pub in Chelsea.

Such a pity and disappointment that I did not get to ride with any of the early start, 100 mile riders. I waited until 7:15 and then started the ride with some others.

I'll be doing the 100, starting at 7, since it's the start of my bachelorette party I'll be wearing a veil on my helmet so I'll be easy to spot!

For Saturday, TWC is predicting warm (not hot) temps and no chance for rain! It doesn't get any better! :-)
I plan to get there @ 6:30 as it's too late to register on line. So I will be ready to roll at 7.

I'm registered for the 75, but may want to do the 64 instead. I plan on starting at 7am.

Wife and I did the 64 mile route a couple years ago. We'll likely do the same again this year.
