XC skiing at Maybury

  • Find me with black/yellow dragon tail hat inside the building
  • You must bring your own skies or rent from REI.
    Somewhat challenging hills. You need to be at intermediate level or above.

    What to bring:
    XC skies (there is no rental there!!), water bottle (must have it even at cold days), gloves, layer of warm clothes (waterproof ski pants & jacket preferred).

    The bathrooms at Maybury are locked in the winter but there is an outhouse located behind the bathroom building...

    You can also go ice skating on the fishing pond, since ice is plenty thick. On Monday Jan. 20 there was about 4-6 inches of snow on the ice.

    I was there Monday Jan. 20 and all the trails are in excellent shape for skiing.
