Do you enjoy being on the water? We are planning on a great afternoon of paddle boarding and kayaking around Island Lake Rec area (optionally going into Kent Lake @ Kensington Rec area)
Don't worry if you don't have a kayak or paddle board. Island lake rents kayaks and I am making arrangements for some rental SUP Boards to be available and maybe demo boards as well if there is enough interest. Don't worry if you don't know how to SUP, there will be experienced people around to help.
If you don't want to be on the water there are bike paths and areas to swim at as well.
Staring around 4:30 pm we will plan on cooking on one of the grills at the park, bring some cookables and something to share I will bring charcoal and foil for the grill.
Please RSVP and let me know if you are interested in a SUP rental, we need to have a minimum amount in order for them to bring the boards.
To rent, please contact Cathy @[masked] cell or[masked] to RSVP and pay for SUP rental.
For kayak/canoe rental, please check http://heavnercanoe.com/island-lake
This is a state park, so you will need to make sure you have a state park pass or pay at the gate.
