UPDATE: I created a list of the reserved camp sites with names of each camper. Please go ahead and edit where I might have missed something or got it wrong. Or add your site number if it is not listed. Thanks Everyone! Cheers!
Well, there is a moonlight paddle Saturday evening on Aug. 9th and several of us thought it would be so much more fun to crawl into our tents that night instead of driving home after the kayaking adventure. So, if you would like to join us, awesome! The more the merrier!!! Check in time at the campground is at 3pm on Saturday and check out at 1pm on Sunday. If you don't care to kayak, you are welcomed to just hang out around the campfire, go for a hike or a swim at the beach. What ever suits your fancy! :) (Photo above was taken from our last camping trip at the Manistee National Forest. Good times!)
The details for the kayaking will be posted as a separate event and at a later date by Event Host: Jeff.
You must reserve your own campsite. There are only 25 sites and they allow 6 people per site and 2 cars. (RSVPing to this event does not guarantee your campsite. You must use link below to make your reservations.)
Reservations (We will be at site #19 & 21): https://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.midnrreservations.com%2FHighlandRecreationArea%252f1-25%253fList&h=DAQE3fBrg
Cost: Highland will charge you a non-refundable reservation fee of $8.00 per reservation and additional $12.00 site-use fee. (Total $20.00)
Luxuries: Vault toilets and hand pump for water. No showers or flush toilets. This is also an equestrian campground. So if you have a phobia or allergy to horses, it might not be a good idea for you to camp here.
