Hey all. It was a great paddle. Hoping next months is the same.
I found a dog drink bowl at Heavners after everyone left to paddle. I had it with me at the park but don't see one of our group members who had a dog. If you know who it might belong to please let them know that I have it.

I agree. Kayaking down the river is always a good time, but it also helps having good company as well.

Hi all. I talked to Alan Heavner today and because of Milford Memories (http://www.milfordmemories.com/1/mm/index.asp) going on this weekend in Milford there will Not be a return shuttle going into Milford. Heavner will have a different spot for a return shuttle if you need one. Alan will talk to us about this before getting on the water. Next: There will be a number of alcohol tents set up in Milford. If you are using one of Heavners boats Please NO drinking alcohol and paddling. It's against park rules.

Last: There will be about 150 people doing the paddle and all kayak are rented out. If you did not tell them that you wanted a kayak when you call to reserve a spot then you will be in a canoe.

    1 · July 13

    • Jeff

Yes you can hold off on the reservation but if you wanted to rent a kayak you may not be able to. There may only be canoes left. It looks like there will be over 100 people there this weekend. Hope your hand is OK.

Actually the peak of the shower is on the 11th and the 12th, but we should still see some bright meteors. The Perseids meteor shower is one of the biggest of the year.

    2 · August 6

  • Jessica C.

The Perseid meteor shower is supposed to be this weekend too! :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
