What is your current backpacking experience?

Nine years - Many hikes. Best hikes 1. Berg Lake Trail (Mount Robson, BC 2010); 2. Four-pass Loop and Conundrum Hot Springs (Colorado 2012 and 2014); 3. Algonquin Highlands 3-nights 4. Gila Wilderness, NM (5-day), Tahquamenan Fall (UP), MRT & NCT (MI). This year (2015) - Utah (5 N.Parks) / Canadian Rockies / Evolution Valley, CA ...

Do you own a backpack, sleeping bag and tent?

Yes to all. I've been purchasing and upgrading gear (there is always something new to buy and weight to reduce). Have some extra gear to lend.

What's your favorite place to camp in Michigan?

Have hiked the Manistee River Trail and North Country Trail in Michagan a couple of times. I've heard great things about the Porcupine area and Pictured Rocks ...

What types of outdoor activities are you especially looking to do?

Backpacking trips mostly. In the U.P. or Northern Ontario. Interested in one extended trip per year, especially like high elevation mountain trips. Hiked my first two 14R's last summer in Colorado. Love to hear tales of adventures people have had, usually told around campfire at the end of a long day.

Hi, I love spending time outdoors. I started backpacking again in 2008, after years of car camping with my wife and dogs across North America. Looking for people to hike with in MI and ONT this summer; interested in extended trips.
