Milwaukee Blacks In Technology: 'Are You Planning for Your Financial Future?'

BDPA hosts ‘Milwaukee Blacks In Technology’ to collaborate with the vibrant community of like-minded technology professionals of color in our city. The doors are wide open for those folks who are passionate about all things technical. Our meetups encourage fun, socializing and high level talks on a variety of technology topics. IT recruiters and IT job seekers are both welcome!

It is one thing to be an IT professional with disposable income flowing in as a result of your technical talents and skills. It is quite another to ensure that you leverage your income so that it serves you now ... and in the future. Our meet-up this month reviews factors that affect our current economy and financial markets. You will gain a better understanding of how emotions can influence decisions and when to seek professional financial guidance.

This meeting should help you understand your finances and find balance in your life. You'll get information and steps to help reduce your worries, overcome obstacles that stand in the way of managing your finances and key steps that can help you reach your financial goals.

Do you ask yourself: Will I have enough to retire? Will my retirement income last? Are my assets protected? Manage the key risks that all retirees face: Outliving their income, inflation, unpredictable events, market volatility, income taxes and rising healthcare costs. Turn retirement concerns into confidence.

Sharing your time and talents can be just as rewarding as sharing your treasures. Attend this interactive workshop to examine your values and create a personal giving plan unique to your life. Explore the various ways you can use all your resources – time, talents and treasures – to help others and lead a fulfilling life.

These are some of the issues that will be addressed by our guest speaker, Greg Webb. Greg Webb has a history of thinking big. He established the largest minority-owned beer distributorship on the East Coast and today is Managing Director and founder of Quantitative Business Solutions, a Financial and Operating Consulting firm. Previously, Greg was Director of Distributor Transactions for MillerCoors for many years. He was responsible for managing the strategic development of the MillerCoors distributor network for the Western United States and he oversaw the development, planning and numerous business ownership transfers.

Greg generously shares his extensive financial expertise, and his experience with minority ownership, with many organizations. In fact, Greg is a master in the art of the deal and his experience helps many people to make sound money decisions.

Anyone … regardless of race or color … interested in tech is welcome!

The meeting will take place at MillerCoors; 3939 W. Highland Blvd; Milwaukee, WI 53208 -- in training rooms: 'Milwaukee' and 'Golden'.
