Ceroc Dancing - Woughton Leisure Centre

Ceroc is modern jive - a mix of salsa and old style jive, with a partner. This class is not just for Meetup members and there are usually around 100 dancers present, with varying numbers of this Group's members.  Lesson starts at 7:45pm for beginners (I suggest arriving a little early to get booked in before the lesson starts), 8.45pm for intermediates. A very friendly social evening for all ages, with an on-site bar (I suggest bringing your own water as it can get quite hot in the hall). No dance experience necessary and no need to bring a partner, as you can dance with experienced members and trainers whilst you learn. No special clothing required - just wear comfortable clothes and I suggest smooth soled shoes (rubber soles make some moves difficult).  Good exercise and a great place to make friends - both from our Group and amongst the many other people who attend.

I have negotiated a special deal for our Group members who would like to give this a try - £5 first night taster lesson (usually £8 + £3 membership fee).  If you like it and want to continue, Ceroc are currently offering a 6 for the price of 3 lesson deal on your second week (£27 instead of £51 for 6 lessons, including Ceroc membership - to be used anytime over a 3 month period).  To take advantage of the taster offer, ring me when you arrive on the night and I can book you in, or tell the person on the ceroc room door that you are with Jane/Meetup.

If you may be interested and have queries, give me a ring on 07973 458228.

The lesson itself starts 7.45pm or shortly afterwards, to secure the special price of £5 for a 'taster' lesson you might need to find Jane who will be doing the lesson, so if that is a factor best make sure to make it a bit before 7.45pm to make sure you get her attention.

Hi Nir, As I won't be able to make it tonight, I hope you won't mind keeping an eye out for our new lady Sharon and showing her the ropes? I'm afraid I will be at home with my knee under an ice pack! Thanks and hope to see you next week.

I'm afraid I can't make it tonight after all. I tripped over earlier in the garden and my knee has swollen up like a balloon - I don't think dancing will help it much! Will see everyone next week hopefully, hope you all have fun tonight.

Hi I am thinking of coming along as this was recommended to me last week but not sure I'll make it for 730. Are they strict times?
