I came across this post at the Pseudopod forum, and thought I'd share, in case anyone here might be interested. It's from Alistair Stewart:

"Just to let you know, we're actively recruiting for female narrators who can do serious, dramatic work and have good microphones. There's a note up on my Twitter account to that effect, but if you are or indeed know of, anyone who might be a good fit, get them to send a message to 'al AT escapeartists DOT net' and we'll get them narrator guidelines and an audition piece. There is of course no pay but our respect is undying."

The good microphone thing is key. Some of the narrators on the Escape Artist site sound like they are broadcasting from their bathroom. Very echoey. Still, I love the job that they do with these narrations!
