After eight hours of work, I have a new web page. I provided content and Sherry set up the page.

http://home.mn.rr.com...

We thought we would start with the free space my ISP provides, then, once I've made a pro sale or two, buy space over at SFF.Net.

Sherry learned to do this on the fly. Isn't she cool?

Nice! I liked all of it. Sherry, you are a goddess. We worship you, really we do.

My website, http://www.sff.net/pe... , has a new look. You might call it a work in progress, but tell me what you think.

Jason --

I love the checkers image! Where did you find it?

I also like the updates on the stories you sold. Nice. And I liked the Halloween Tic Tac Toe freebie.

Some stuff to consider for aesthetic reasons only: Margins are good. You would have to put your stuff in a table (or use CSS) to do margins, but it would look cool. Also, you may want to center your name and image on the page.

Also... Would you please, please consider including a link to this group in your links section? The more people who link to us, the easier it is for others to find us, and the higher we rank on google.

Please? Pretty please?

Of course, this reminds me of something.

d oh D'oh!

I need to update my webpage as well. I have a link to the group on my front page, but it would be nice to include one in my links section. God, I have updating that I need to do all over the place. I want to get all three of my published short stories on my website...

raised eyebrow

Now... Does anyone else have a website they want to show off here? I want to see more websites from the people in this group. Strut your stuff, and nag, nag, NAG me to get mine updated, okay?

Hmm

PS Michael... You've made a lot of sales recently. It may be time to inquire with Sff.net whether you qualify for their pro rates now.

I made it myself, using Jasc Animation Shop 3 (they're associated with Paint Shop Pro). I drew the basic images on paper, scanned them into my computer, used Microsoft Paint to create the frames (88 in all), and used Animation Shop 3 to string them together.

(Of course, the checkers game is more than a bit lop-sided -- the brunette has no way of winning; in fact, the redhead couldn't lose if she wanted to -- but oh well.)

I've also used Animation Shop 3 to make a little 6-minute movie based on a short-short story of mine. I would have liked to post it on my website, but at over 300 frames, it would probably take too long to download.

Hilary, I'll put that link you wanted on my website. I assume you want it exactly as you typed it in your post?

Jason --

You did that? Wow!

I am completely totally impressed.

And yes, I want a link to my about page, but keep in mind that Meetup's message board software loves inserting random spaces in website URLs. It will be safest to get the URL directly from the About Page of this group.

I would love to see some of the other animated images that you come up with. That was too cool!

That's a good point! Sherry is about to update my sight, and we just downloaded some really nice html and webtool software, so I guess now would be the time to ask.

I've put a new animation on my home page (the checkers image has been moved to the Games I Have Invented Page). Tell me what you think of the new one.
