Title: Novelist Retreat Host
Not yet added
I am an active duty Army officer (stationed at Ft Snelling) with a modest science background. I grew up in MN but have lived all over the US and spent considerable time in several foreign countries.
Most of my stories are based on a detailed SciFi universe I've developed. I also write some horror and modern fantasy. I like dark stories and strong characters. I've recently become interested in flash fiction. Nothing published yet.
I have found (from Critters.com) that I learn as much from critiquing others' work as from critiques of my own. I think face to face interaction with people who share my passion for writing will be enlightening and encouraging.
"I am in several online writing groups. I tend to be diplomatic and encouraging in my critiques, but always be honest. When it comes to critiques of my own work, I prefer honesty over diplomacy every time."
These are great people. The critiques were honest, but always given in a respectful, encouraging manner. We enjoy each other's insights and company.
