Benjamin D.

MODX Ambassador

Organizer since:

May 3, 2013

What do you hope to learn from this meet up?

I hope to learn from other MODXers as well as be able to share my stories.

Have you heard of MODX before?

I have been working with MODX since 2008 and have never looked back.

How much experience do you have with MODX?

I come from more the visual design area and have fallen into the niche "Frontend Developer", so it makes sense that I have more experience with using MODX tools in developing my sites than creating plug-ins or add-ons in the backend. But I am proficient in how to setup MODX and develop sites from the ground up.

Which version of MODX are you most comfortable with?

Do you consider yourself more of a web designer or developer?

I am kind of stuck in the middle, but with a tendency to be more designer than developer. I studied graphic design and television media, so I am more in tune with the visual side, but started learning Basic in the 6th grade and in high school Turbo Pascal and then moved on to PHP in my post-college years. So I am no stranger to programming!

I am the MODX Ambassador for Munich and have been designing and developing websites since 2002. From Dreamweaver to Flash to MODX, I have been bouncing around with the internet since the days of HTML tables and Netscape until today.
