Our Own Backyard series: The Society of Six

Are you aware of the the unique genius of the Society of Six? As a Northern California art lover, you should.  Selden Gile, Bernard von Eichman, Louis Siegrest, August Gay, Maurice Logan, and William Capp were, arguably, the most important artistic influences on the Bay Area in the first half of the 20th Century. In the bacchanal tradition of these rowdy men, let's raise a glass to these practically forgotten visionaries. Christopher James will explore the role the beloved San Francisco landscape and the fickle hand of fate played with the "California Colorists." Space is limited. Please RSVP

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
