Restaurant Le Jardin De Panos-(TAKE YOUR OWN WINE)

Be patient: Line-ups to get a table can be very long on summer evenings but it is well worth the wait.

Restaurant Le Jardin De Pano

Most important thing to know here is: TAKE YOUR OWN WINE.

They do not have any wine, or beer, or any sort of alcoholic beverage. So if you don't want to be washing down your amazing Quebecois/Greek cuisine with a diet sprite, buy a nice bottle and carry it with you. Also, the convenience store across the street has vinegar for wine and its dear.

Next, there will be a line outside. It took me nearly an hour to get in, in the Montreal winter. Well worth it for a good meal.

Right past that little hurdle, the food is amazing. Large hearty portions of whatever you order; I had the lamb and it was fantastic. The bread they serve it with is fresh and fluffy like a pastry, and the salad dressing - complimentary salad - was just the best dressing I've ever tried

PROFILE:

Romantic Garden
Located on Duluth among the many bring your own wine restaurants, this alluring little restaurant defines itself from the rest with its romantic garden terrace that is reminiscent of Mediterranean nature and aesthetic ambience. Its authentic Greek menu sends fragrant scents of fresh herbs and lemon accents wafting from the kitchen into the dining area. The decorative interior continues to hint a Greek appeal, with pictures and various setting details inspired by the Mediterranean Sea.

Mediterranean Flavour
This bustling restaurant, which is open seven days a week, draws large crowds on Friday evenings. It is the perfect spot to enjoy a cold bottle of Kourtaki Retsina amidst the soft shade of climbing vines. People flock to the Jardin de Panos to soak up the tranquility and escapism that its shady terrace offers along with its delicious menu. Patrons sit back and unwind as they let their senses be romanced.

Authentic Dishes
Aside from a beautiful terrace, this restaurant also offers up some authentic Greek dishes that are sure to satisfy. The pikilia latter is exceptional mixed plate of diverse Greek appetizers such as grape vines, hummus and more. The chicken brochette plate is also a favorite among regulars and new customers alike. Be sure to keep in mind that this restaurant is not fully licensed so whatever your flavour, be sure to pick up a bottle of wine at the nearby SAQ or dépanneur.

A beautiful oasis hidden behind an antique greek decorated restaurant. The terrase was enchanting. I can say we discovered a hidden jewel! The company was lively and very friendly. What a great group of people you were! The walk afterwards was very enjoyable and needed in my case since the food was so delicious and of course I ate everything. Just one question....Ghada and Russ, where did you go? We missed you.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
