Let's get set for the MIT Origami Convention

  • October 12, 2013 · 3:00 PM

Come learn about all the different bases used in origami, such as the preliminary fold, the bird base, waterbomb, book base, blintz, helmet base, fish base, square fold, the frog base, pig base, and the multiform/windmill/boat base...

We will also try to go over squash folds, reverse folds, and sink folds and petal folds.

These will be helpful to know if you are going to the MIT convention. Registration opens at origaMIT.org on Oct 2. The convention is on Oct 19. The cost is $20.

Can you help teach some of the bases? Please let us know and be sure to RSVP to our MOO meeting on Oct 12.

Last year we stayed at the MIT convention until 7 or 8. I think it is worth going even if you can stay just part of the time. : )

Do you know how long the convention runs? I wouldn't be able to get there until 3 at the very earliest. Would I be wasting my time, or is there enough going on in the late afternoon to make it my while?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
