What Microsoft technologies are you most interested in learning about?

As we put together plans for meeting topics and speakers, we want to be sure to cover many of the current trending technologies that are part of the "Microsoft stack" of products and platforms that are either active or coming soon. In an effort to help drive future plans for the MSDevWNY group, please help us know what topics may be of value to you.

What type of presentations would you like to see at monthly meetings?

One of the key activities of MSDevWNY is the monthly meeting. We'd like the opportunity to welcome different formats of these meetings in an effort to keep things fresh while allowing for community interaction and networking.

Where would you like to see community project contributions?

As we schedule meetings with topics that have source code and cover different areas, we're hoping to put them together into one large project that group members can not only view for reference, but also contribute to over time. Most likely, there will be several locations for the source code and materials, depending on the project. We'd like to know what your choices might be.

Would you attend a multi-group event in Rochester, NY?

As we expand our membership we continue to find ways to grow. This includes meeting up with other groups in the region to allow for networking across different disciplines. In addition to monthly meetings, we'd like to have larger events. We also want to be sure to accommodate as many developers in the region. Because of that, we're looking to do things in Rochester. As an example, we'd like to try the Rochester Museum of Play. Let us know if you'd be interested in meeting in Rochester. If you have other suggestions, drop us a line!

Would you be interested in a monthly podcast?

As we work together with other user groups around the area in neighboring cities around the state, we'd like to offer a way to communicate things that are going on with groups and what people are up to. Key topics would include group meetings and other events, national events and conferences, and some close interaction with local developers to get an idea what people are working on or even just what's fun and exciting to them. We'd like to know if group members would be interested in subscribing to a monthly podcast that contains this kind of information.
