Bike To Work Day

  • May 16, 2014 · 6:30 AM

This is an annual event around DC in which you simply ride your bike to work. There are pit stops to go and pick up a free t-shirt, refreshments and enter raffles. Some pit stops are in the AM, and others in the PM, check the times. To Register and details click on the link shown below.

This is a rain or shine event, is up to you if you're willing to bear the rain. Please comment which pit stop you're planning on stopping by, maybe we'll see you there!

I just made it to work, a total of 12 miles. I didn't have a chance to take pictures of the pit stop, but there were 2 other people there. I had one crash and a flat, no injuries, not even a scratch. I recorded some of it :D. Overall it was quite the adventure.

Changing a flat in the rain sucks. I didn't ride. I ride along rock Creek on Beach drive and it was flooded out.

Mine is open too, I guess it's going to be a wet ride. Should be a nice adventure. I already left dry clothes at work, so it'll alright :D

all the events in Baltimore were canceled. I can't blame them, the scariest part of my commute is under 10-12" of water

I'd love to participate but I work from home. I can carry my bike upstairs though. Does that count?

I'll be at the U or M hospital in Baltimore when it opens. Unfortunate that the org thinks we all work banker hours.
And wunderground is saying 100% chance of thunderstorms...
