The Mini is full up for the trip I am afraid Paul, but do look for us at the start of the metric century on Sunday morning.

How sad. I am just clumsy enough to appreciate a helmet at my advanced age. Drew- have a very Merry Christmas along with the other Team Red members.

I too appreciate them all too well. The story I was told it was hot that day, and he just said it was too hot to keep it on.
Thanks on the Christmas greetings, hope you as well have a wonderful holiday season - check the schedule and come on out (to the right place) more often!

This should be fun no matter what happens with global warming in the Great Lakes! Looks to be a well organized event.

It is a great ride - not sure i'll make it down there or not, but i went a few years ago and it was very well organized, great route, and friendly rest stops. The only glitch or issue I've ever heard of with this ride is last year an elderly participant decided it was too hot for wearing a helmet, and took his off. Bad part was shortly after that he had and accident and died from the resulting head trauma. That however was an individual choice and nothing that can be held against the ride organizers or other participants.
