I use machine learning to study bioinformatics and phylogenetics in HIV/AIDS research. I previously used machine learning to serve clients in the engineering, manufacturing, electronics, chemical and pharmaceutical industries while working in an industrial statistics consulting firm.
Currently, I am particularly interested in learning more about collaborative filtering, recommender systems, graphical models, social network analysis, and text mining.
I am a statistician specializing in data mining and machine learning. I work at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS in bioinformatics and biostatistics. Visit my blog, The Chemical Statistician, and follow me on Twitter @chemstateric!
