Parker with Jason Statham (time and theatre confirmed)

Jason Statham is at it again, this time with Jennifer Lopez!

Yvette is the organizer for this meetup. If you need to contact her please post a message on the wall, or go into his profile and email her through there.

Synopsis Parker (Jason Statham) is a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: Don't steal from people who can't afford it and don't hurt people who don't deserve it. But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead. Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to Palm Beach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever. Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), a savvy insider, who's short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.

After battling TTC trials and tribulations, spent an enjoyable evening with the group. Good conversation after the movie over drinks and snacks. As for the movie, the post-production editing and title styles have turned Parker firmly into a B-movie. With tighter ediitng it would have been a better film.

The movie was just OK, it had a lot of useless scenes and more roles than required. I agree with Lisa, Jason needs to secure better roles that stretch has talents, but of course these roles must include at least one scene where he is shirtless. Very nice getting together with you all, Office Pub was loud but maybe because it was a Saturday night will have to try it another time.

I sat on edge, wide-eyed, as Jason was beaten up, shot, stabbed and left for dead several times during this flick. My only respite was his wonderful shower scene. I only wish I could have more respite by seeing him get better roles as I know there is more behind his beautiful face and body. Hopefully, one day my wish will come true. Thanks, Yvette, and my fellow movie patrons for a good time, especially for Yvette fanning me through the shower scene. (Yes, Phil, the temperature went up higher at that point.)

You'll have to eat that frozen yogurt quickly, it'll be melted within the first 1 min of seeing Statham appear on the screen.

I can't help that the man is that stunning! Look at the pic above--He even looks good banged up. I may have to see this movie twice. Shucks, darn.

Well, I definitely won't be watching it to see the sweat glisten off his shirtless torso. I wanna see limbs breaking, blood spurting! :)

By saying 'hubba hubba' Yvette, you're already scaring the men away from signing up. ;) I might do this one later as a meetup, depends on the reviews.

Aaaarg, you've confirmed my worst fears Phil, so I turned to the all knowing Google and found that hubba hubba is mostly directed at women! I have now changed the title to make Jason the hottie and JLo the hubba hubba, hopefully the men will join us. I noticed that Cineplex Y&E is not slated to show this film only Canada Square which is strange but foreboding as to the pending reviews. You never can tell.

Maybe it's just limited release. Canada Square isn't too big, but it's also nice and quiet. Sometimes too quiet!

Saw it last week. Good movie.
