I'd like to see Woodstock '69 on the big screen one day.  For now, this is the next best thing, Jimi Hendrix performance at the most celebrated rock concert of all time.

I'm posting this far in advance because it's on a Good Friday, so hopefully it'll help you guys plan your day so you can come out and see this!

Speechless - Jimi's playing was magnificent. Woodstock is really his ultimate performance. He was in a transition from the more power pop sounds of The Experience and some experimental jazz rock fusion he was aiming towards. The band backing him up did a phenomenal job keeping up with this genius, Mitch Mitchell gets some serious credit for all his moving and pounding, talk about a real workout! It was interesting also seeing how empty the audience was, they must have taken for granted he'd be around longer, and of course, we know he passed a year later. Fans of the Woodstock movie itself will be pleased to see alternate camera angles and shots of performances like the Star Spangled Banner - instead of close up of his fingers, you see a wide master shot of the whole stage, which was cool.

Reminder: Tomorrow is the meetup for this movie (Hendrix @ Woodstock). If you cannot make it, please change your RSVP soon. If you're not sure you can get there on time, change your RSVP to No and when you show up at the time and place indicated, I can add you back into the event.

Here's a little taste of what's to come. This is a very low quality youtube video. The big screen version will sound and look 100x better! Jimi on lead guitar, Mitch Mitchell on drums, and Billy Cox on bass (Noel Redding didn't come to Woodstock). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oVfyxS7ynM

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
