Another cult film I haven't seen yet.  Supposedly a great one too!  One of the last films by Handmade Films, a movie production company set up by George Harrison and Terry Gilliam.

Withnail & I (1987)

Movie synopsis:

London 1969 - two 'resting' (unemployed and unemployable) actors, Withnail and Marwood, fed up with damp, cold, piles of washing-up, mad drug dealers and psychotic Irishmen, decide to leave their squalid Camden flat for an idyllic holiday in the countryside, courtesy of Withnail's uncle Monty's country cottage. But when they get there, it rains non-stop, there's no food, and their basic survival skills turn out to be somewhat limited. Matters are not helped by the arrival of Uncle Monty, who shows an uncomfortably keen interest in Marwood.

Humourous movie. I didn't get all of the dialogue or references, but it flowed well and there were a number of funny moments. I was thinking more about who I recognized their friend who moved into their apartment, actor Ralph Brown. I had seen him before in another movie: Wayne's World 2

I feel like a complete and utter twit.
I actually fell asleep at 9:30,but I remember I really really enjoyed Withnail in 1969!
...or at least I think I did.

I really enjoyed the great chat with Trish...movie was enjoyable...especially soundtrack with Jimi! But movie did not live up to its hype. it was very '1969' which was a very exciting time, as I remember.
