I enjoyed this film, but I've never seen it on the big screen.  The director was also one of the co-directors of Cloud Atlas.

Run Lola Run (1998)

Movie synopsis:

Lola's boyfriend is an errand boy for a local criminal, and has been given a simple job to do as a test. He only needs to deliver some smuggled goods and return with the payment, but he accidentally leaves the bag with the money on the subway. He calls Lola in a panic -- he must come up with the money within 20 minutes. The film plays out various possible scenarios: Lola dies trying to save her feckless lover from the cops, Lola robs a bank, Lola wins the money gambling.

Great movie! I was worried it wouldn't hold up after all these years. I won't give it away by saying exactly what made it different, because that's part of the enjoyment of the film - the unexpected. Overall a wonderful, well-paced film about changing one's destiny. :) Thanks for coming out to the flick!

....my life would just be grim, sitting in the back row at the Varsity with all the lonely hobos, eating popcorn and drinking whiskey.
