Fading Gigolo (Woody Allen, John Tuturro, Sharon Stone)

Woody Allen and John Tuturro is playing in a movie. Often Woody Allen films are witty, smart and intelligent. I've seen Midnight in Paris enjoyed it and wondering what this is about.. (Honestly, I think its about Male Prostitutes - probably a quirky subject that Woody Allen can get right)... Sharon Stone is this movie (where has she been lately?)

Anyways, here's the trailer....

The movie was good, but too much Tuturro and not enough Allen. The gathering at Hue's was loads of fun. The food was great and inexpensive and the drinks were potent.

So is this still in VIP? I am trying to buy a ticket and I can't find this in the VIP for June 6th. Don't know if it isn't playing there or I just can't find the VIP online.

Date changed to June 6, 2014... Maleficient is another big summer opening and this would conflict with Karen L. Meetup.... Please update your RSVP...

I have to cancel... not because I am condemning Woody, but because my grand daughter needs me that evening.

I saw this yesterday and it's a lovely movie. Woody Allen is very funny & Turturro is a wonderful director, writer. Great soundtrack. So enjoy!

This is actually directed by John Turturro, so Woody Allen is just an actor in it. Where did Sharon Stone go? She went to that graveyard where all over 50 actresses go, especially ones that specialized in playing hot babes. That's how Hollywood works. Jessica Lange went there for awhile, but has risen again in American Horror Story.

Interesting observations regarding actresses that made it playing hot babes Krystyna, I never made the correlation. I watch American Horror Story and love Jessica Lange's roles in them.

    • Krystyna

Oh yes, Yvette. Actresses start falling off the radar when they hit their 40's - unless they find a good plastic surgeon who can keep an illusion of 30 going for awhile longer. Mind you, it happens to men too. William Hurt and Jon Voight used to be the hottest leading actors. And has anyone seen Dennis Quaid lately?

Allison while I can certainly understand your PERSONAL reason for not attend a Woody Allen I do not feel that we all need to know about it, and especially here on this page. This is not the place for a debate of this nature. I'll be deleting said comments so as not to turn this page into a hotbed of comments than could turn into something ugly. I'm sure that you will understand.

Have not been to a VIP Cinema yet. Curious to know if it's worth $20 or $15 (Tuesdays)? Does it have a large movie screen?

    May 20, 2014

    • Brian p.

For me, I like the extra service, but for some... they might not care for it... and a regular cinema would do.. Depends on what type of movie your watching.. Big summer blockbuster on a smaller screen might not appeal to everybody.. but a smaller independent film would be good for VIP

Thanks Brian for the info. Will save up my points and check out the new Yonge/Dundas VIP theatre.
