This film could be considered the last of the classic formula for Bond films.  It was the last Roger Moore movie, who spent the most time in the role as James Bond.  Action with a little campy humour, you can't go wrong with a movie that has Grace Jones as the Bond girl, and Christopher Walken as a blonde-haired bad guy!  Not to mention a great theme tune played by Duran Duran!

A View To A Kill

Movie synopsis from TIFF:

In the snowy wastes of Siberia, Bond retrieves a high-tech microchip from the body of a double-O man who had snatched it from the KGB. When analysis reveals it to be a copy of a design made by the US-based government contractor Zorin Industries, Bond goes undercover to investigate the company's owner, Max Zorin (Christopher Walken). A former KGB agent turned renegade capitalist — and a product of Nazi genetic experimentation to boot — the Aryan genius/madman has concocted a scheme to flood Silicon Valley, allowing him to corner the market in microchip manufacturing. Frequently named as one of the nadirs of the series, Roger Moore's last Bond film nevertheless has its share of pleasurable distractions, including a foot chase and parachute escape on the Eiffel Tower, a pursuit through the San Francisco streets atop a fire truck, and the climactic showdown on the vertiginous heights of the Golden Gate Bridge. Moreover, Walken makes for one of the best and most unique villains of the series, with the additional boost of the towering Grace Jones as Zorin's fearsome Amazonian accomplice May Day.

Last of the original Bond format, I guess you could say. A bit on the slap stick side for humour, lots of subtle dirty humour as only the Brits can deliver. Fun flick, and it was great spotting actors before they were stars, like Dolph Lundgren and Ray Liotta (I missed that). Thanks for coming out!

    You people are all sick.

And so am I, which is why I'm gutted I'm working the night this is playing. Love this movie. Particularly the St John Smythe scenes.
