Phil D is the organizer for this meetup.  If you need to contact him, please post a message on the wall, or go into his profile and email him through there.

For (new) members: Please take the time to rate the event (not the movie) afterwards. Written feedback on the wall is also welcome if you want to talk about the movie or other things. Thanks!

I decided to watch this film on my own on New Year's Day, and I liked it a lot!  So I thought I'd do it as a meetup, so you guys can check it out too.

It's a well-paced thriller.  The trailers show a lot of action, however it's not wall-to-wall action.  It's got enough stuff going on that you aren't going to get bored with the lack of punching and shooting.

Thumbs up from me, and while I am NOT a Tom Cruise fan (I will admit I giggled when I first saw the trailer), he does a great job in this action thriller!  I liked it way more than Skyfall!

The movie wasn't bad. Even tho I wasn't a Cruise fan, I must say it certainly was entertaining. Too bad for the suzy seatkickers and the tommy texters that had to ruin my experience tho. I think I'll sit off center next time. Thanks for organizing this Phil. Hope you feel better!

I enjoyed the film the second time around. I didn't miss anything the first time around, but still, I thought it was a well made crime thriller. I hope they make more in the series. Thanks everyone who came out!

Just got my ticket. This is your reminder tomorrow is the meetup for Jack Reacher. If you are unable to attend please change your RSVP. If you're not sure, best change to 'No', then if you turn up, I can add you back into the attendance.

At the end of the movie, if it's a busy theatre and we're not sitting together, we'll gather across from the washrooms to chat a bit and see who wants to still hang out after. See you then!

I saw this before too and was expecting balls to the walls action film. What I got was a good thriller with a good mystery and plot... At times, it feels like a well put together detective story with some James Bond elements to it.. Overall, I was surprised and I really liked it

I think the only tweaking I would have made would have been at the very beginning, by hiding the identity of the shooter (I'm not spoiling it for anyone, because that info was in the trailer). That way both the audience and the people in the movie would have been in the dark until the clues started coming together. Not a failure, just an enhancement, so Reacher would have to convince not only the people around him, but the audience as well.

The book is better but the film is still pretty good. I thought Tom Cruise was terrific as Jack Reacher even though he doesn't resemble anything like the character in the book.
