Beginning Nightclub Two Step

Nightclub Two Step was initially developed by Buddy Schwimmer (Dad of Lacy Schwimmer on Dancing with the Stars - how's THAT fer trivia?) in the mid-1960s. The dance is also known as "Two Step" and was "one of the most popular forms of contemporary social dance" as a Disco Couples Dance in 1978.  It is frequently danced to mid-tempo ballads in 4/4 time that have a characteristic Quick-Quick-Slow beat. A classic example is the song Lady In Red.

The Nightclub Two Step basic step can be counted as One & Two - Three & Four. The dance position for Nightclub Two Step is with a more relaxed hold, or "what people tend to do without lessons". This is a very versatile dance style for nightclubs and Disco style music.

Costs  is $36 for the 4week series payable to Dance on Air,  reserve and pay 4 days early for a 10% discount.  NO CLASS APRIL 9th.

Shoes   PLEASE bring dancing shoes or you will dance in your socks. No outside street shoes allowed on the floor.  Suede-soled shoes or other similar non-marking indoor shoes are fine.

Please RSVP for all the sessions so we can attempt to maintain balance or better yet, grab a partner (and bring two friends)!!    No one new after the 3rd week unless you have done these styles.  Please keep your RSVPs up to date, I'm marking out the no shows...
