Rec-Level Open Coed Volleyball, Near W Side

This group normally plays at Crestwood School (Old Sauk Rd), but this week is moving to Cherokee Heights Middle School due to a schedule conflict.  They're still playing 7-9pm.  John Reindl (the site supervisor) says:

"For those new to the setting, go to the driveway on the east side of the building, and, from the parking lot, enter the door in the corner of the building. Go down the steps and turn to the right. Anyone with questions can contact me at [masked]."

"We welcome new players and they can stop in and join us for several evenings at no charge to see if this level fits their interests. Interested people can either contact me by email [[masked]] or just stop in."

If you like it and want to play regularly, the fee is $34 for MSCR residents (+50% for non-rez). There are two back-to-back sessions in the fall and two in the winter/spring, starting in January.

I think ... not even close. I've never played with the Cherokee group, but the site supervisor says it's a solid rec-level (low to moderate skills and experience) where players don't always value a three-hit game, while the Tues Fitchburg group aims at a high-intermediate level. I think Cherokee would be a good group for people who are just learning the game and want to develop their skills. MSCR does, however, offer many other groups at all levels of play, on a variety of weeknights, and in several locations all over town. Check out the online catalog at mscr.org. Other area rec departments too -- Middleton, Verona, Fitchburg, Monona, Mt Horeb, McFarland, Sun Prairie, Waunakee, etc.

Hey Bob, how is the competition level here with this group? Is it comparable to Tuesday night?
