Thurs Eve Intermed Coed V-Ball (outdoors, sand)

Open coed v-ball at an intermediate or higher level.

Every Thurs evening (weather permitting) 5:30pm until dark through the spring and summer, at the UW "Picnic Point" courts on University Bay Drive (about a tenth-mile W of the hikers' entrance to Picnic Point). Small parking lot to the W, and another to the E. For a map showing both these Picnic Point courts and another pair of courts ("Cole Beach") on Observatory Drive, see

BYO: Water/Gatorade/whatever, and bug dope as needed. On warm nights (80+) I'll bring a cooler with ice so we can keep our drinks cool.

TAKE RSVPs WITH A GRAIN OF SALT: In our experience most attendees do not RSVP, so don't let a low RSVP count keep you away.

IF BAD WEATHER THREATENS: I'll post a cancellation note/email to all RSVPers and our Meetup Message Board by 5pm if it looks like we won't be able to play. If there is no cancellation note, that means we're going to try, so use your best judgment.

IF THE PICNIC POINT COURTS ARE FULL and you don't recognize any of us there, we may have moved or overflowed to the Cole Beach Courts (also shown on the "UWSandCourts" map on our website).

No problem, our coed-open groups are very casual/informal -- just come when you can, and stay as long as you like.

I think I brought my pup last year, so I assume dogs are allowed, right? Heh.

Should be okay at the UW courts (Thurs and Sun). Don't know about city parks (Olbrich), but there's probably a pet policy posted on their website.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
