Indoor V-Ball After Labor Day

I'm looking into renting an indoor court (or two) for our group to have weekly coed intermediate-level v-ball when the weather drives us indoors this fall.  The games would be organized the same way we run our outdoor groups now:  form different teams each week, depending on who shows up, with emphasis on balancing the talent because close games are more fun than mismatches.  So far the ballpark numbers are looking like this: $45-50 per player for a 14-week session (about $[masked] per week), two hours each week.  If we can get a group running for Sept-Dec, and people like it, then we can do it again for Jan-April, and do it again next year, and so forth.

This will be possible only if we can get at least a dozen people to commit to it (with payment in advance), because it will require a contract between me and whomever owns/administers the facility, and if it's all the same to you I'd rather not be stuck with a $[masked] bill for facility time if we don't have enough people to use it.  What I'm thinking is setting a minimum target enrollment of 12 (or 24 for two courts), and then accepting drop-ins (as space allows) at $5/night.

SO, MY QUESTIONS FOR YOU:

What do you think about this idea?  Would you be likely to sign up?  What would be the best (and worst) weeknights for you to play (at 7-9pm)?  What side of town would be the best location for you and, if most people prefer playing on the far side of town from you, would you still be likely to join us?

My first-draft thoughts on this are to NOT schedule it for Tues or Wed, because many of us already play in existing groups on those nights.  As for location, I'm looking at Madison public-school facilities (in a variety of locations), and I've also asked KEVA (in Middleton) for their thoughts and preliminary numbers.  And if these inquiries don't turn up a deal we like, we could approach other athletic/sports clubs in the area.

Please let me know your thoughts and preferences.  You can post replies on our Meetup Message Board (under the Discussions menu), or email me privately if you like: mthorebian [at] gmail [dot] com.  I'll be relying on your feedback to put together a program with definitive numbers, location and a specific day of the week, so everyone can choose yay-or-nay.
