Swing Baby! - East Coast Style

I was gettin' all Energized at the Great Dane and some folks said, "Hey I'd like to do that dance thing buuuuuuuuuut... So here's the best dance style I can think of for Energetic people (that's supposed to be you!!).
Our Intro Level class for June is East Coast Swing (next on the list by request). Lots of fun and energy and this is the "Swing" considered real swing. This is the the get down get funky (eventually) 40's and 50's swing, works great with Big Band stuff. This is the one you should have good shoes for, heels not necessary (or even desirable) one of the few places dance sneakers work well. NO STREET SHOOOOZ!

I almost forgot and we do have some new folks so - this class is run by Tempo Ballroom and Latin dance studio and there is a $10 a class charge or you can purchase a 10 class pass of $85 good for any group class or simple, single class yo may take outside the group (a group class before one of their parties..)

Please RSVP for all the sessions so we can attempt to maintain balance or better yet, grab a partner (and bring two friends)!! Please keep your RSVPs up to date, I'm marking out the no shows...

it's best to have shoes with a sole that slides very easy - such as leather soles. They don't want you to wear your street shoes for the dancing.

If you're going to be doing alot of other "sport" dance, dance sneakers are good and Gazelle on State Street and Rosy Cheeks on the west side would have them (possibly Virginia Davis as well). For swing, anything with a smooth not too sticky sole and no nails is fine.

Everyone please noter that this is a 4 week series that builds up week to week. It is difficult for all if you try to jump in later if you have not been in all the classes (unless you have alot of prior swing experince). Please RSVP for all classes starting June 4th and repeating every Tuesday (if you have to miss a later class it's not so bad).

Come on guys, it's time! A) Anyone can swing B) it's almost universal at any wedding, party or Meetupy event and C) we have 6 extra women signed up so far.

Hi John - is this four classes in June? If so, my partner & I will only be able to make the first three, we will miss the fourth one. Is that OK?

Also, I did not see an option for a +1 on the 2nd and 3rd classes.

That would be OK but we may be able to talk them into Intermediate East Coast for the later time slot in July (8-9 Tuesdays) so you may want to stay in touch with folks in case we learn something really cool...
