Wollersheim Winery - Tasting and Tour

Let's meet at Wollersheim for wine tasting and tour!

Minor update: If it rains, I may reschedule for the next day. I would cancel the event by 9 am on Saturday morning if rain is in the forecast and let you know via email. Also, I think the tours do book up during summer. So upon first arriving there we will lock in our time for the tours. If they are filled I'm ok w/ skipping the tour and letting others go and just joining in for the tasting. Let me know if you have any questions.

We can meet at the tables outside under the roof. I will print a small meetup sign. We can sit, drink, and chat. They sell chilled wine inside the shop and have plastic cups as well. Bring snacks if you wish to enjoy with your wine. In case of bad weather we can meet in the shop area. Tours:
Tour Schedule: Guided tours of the winery run daily at 10:15, 11:15, 12:15, 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, and 4:15. The tours last approximately one hour and conclude with a wine tasting. Tour fees are $3.50 for adults and children 11 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. Tours are on a first-come first-served basis and are limited to 25 people. Once the group is together we can discuss timing for a tour at either 2:15 or 3:15.

Tastings:
Wine Tastings: A selection of our wines is available for sampling in our tasting room. Wine tastings are at no charge, and are available anytime during the day or along with the tour. You must be 21 years old or older to taste or purchase wine. You can only do wine tastings once while there. :(

Directions:
From Madison:
Leave Madison on US-12 WEST, the West Beltline Highway. US-12 and US-14 split at Middleton.
Continue on US-12 WEST (North) for 17 miles to State Hwy. 188. Turn RIGHT on Hwy. 188 and go 2 miles to the winery. Entrance will be on your RIGHT. From Spring Green:
Take Wisconsin 60 EAST through Sauk City and Prairie du Sac. Cross the Route 60 bridge over the Wisconsin River. Go 1/4 mile, then turn RIGHT (SOUTH) onto State Hwy. 188. Go approx. 3/4 mile. The winery entrance is on the LEFT side of the road. More information:
http://www.wollershei... Might be a good idea to car pool. There is a good amount of parking space, but with sampling and drinking you might want one designated driver. :) Please post on the site if you are willing to car pool There's a few of us who will be heading out from the Waunakee area.

Hope to see you there!

Hi! The last forecast I saw said the rain would be gone by the afternoon Saturday! Meet there at 1:30 by outdoor tables. Look for meetup sign. Those wishing to do a tour can go purchase their ticket for the 2 or 3 pm. We can break into 2 groups if necessary, one for tasting and one for the tour/tasting. Bring some snacks to compliment the wine and we can eat/drink on the grounds either before or after tasting/tours (they sell chilled wine, FYI, you can't bring alcohol onto the grounds).

It looks like there may be a possibility we won't leave for Superior until the early wee hrs on Sunday morning. If that's the case, maybe I'll just pop on over and intro myself and hang? I know it's at it's max at this time, but I live in Sauk City, so the winery is like 6-7 mins from my house. I'll have to see whether my Sat. plans crash or not, but either way, I'll meet up w/you guys sooner or later! Ah ha ha ha!

Reminder: The tours are FIRST come FIRST serve. I've done them a few times before, but will skip the tour to allow others to go. I don't want anyone to be dissappointed if they can't get in for a tour. So please arrive early if you do not want to miss a tour. They fill up on weekends! We can meet at Kwik Trip near Hwy 19 and Interstate 94 and leave there at 12:30pm, let me know if anyone wants to do that. From there we can coordinate drivers for East siders. Ground open till 5pm

I'd absolutely LOVE to do this, as I live in Sauk Prairie, but we will be out of town that whole weekend, up in Superior, WI. I could do it the following Sunday? Oh, well. Another time!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
