They stopped taking reservations last night. Still tickets available first come first served. Suggest arriving 45 minutes early.

The train leaves at 2:30 but the station would like people to get their tickets by 2:00 and you need a reservation if you haven't already made one since they fill up quickly. Their number is[masked]-4261. It is about an hour away from Madison.

The fall scenic train ride reservations have been made for those who emailed me or called me directly before noon on Thurs. 10/7. I had to reply to the train station at noon with the total number of people we have going. If you would like to come but did not tell me personally please call the train station to make your own reservation. Their number is[masked]

ust a note -- I believe that is 7 miles in 50 minutes versus 70. 70 in 50 minutes would be way fun but I think we would miss the colors.

Why don't we plan this for Saturday, October 9? I checked the calendar and there's not much going on that date. The other days have Fall Colors bike rides and hikes. So, how about the 11:30 AM train? We could go on the train ride, then have lunch somewhere nearby. Is anyone an AO or EO for this group that could set this up? Or, should we just do this on our own?

So is this a go as far as a meet-up? Sounds like a great event and something I've wanted to do for a while. Group discount would be kewl as would carpooling etc.

I'm new to meetup groups..can some tell how the process works to set up a group event, like the train ride? Does it have to be approved by the group organizers first or can I make the arrangemnts? Thank you,

Have done this in the past, and it's a great event for adults and kids alike. Any kid who likes trains will have a blast, setting is beautiful and volunteers are awesome.
