n previous years, I have hosted a dinner or afternoon for people like me who have had transitions in their lives and may not be spending New Year's Day with their families or loved ones. We have had a wonderful time enjoying the holiday together. For those of you who attended the SPDA Annual Christmas Party and Christmas Eve 2013 at my house, we can do it all over again: eat, drink, and be merry: lots of great laughter and conversations. Please bring whatever you wish to drink and share or not share (alcohol / no alcohol ) your choice. On Christmas Eve, everyone brought generous, delicious dishes so we will just do that again. Please tell me in your RSVP the category of food you will be bringing : appetizer, main dish, salad, side dish, dessert. The format will be an open house. So, those of you who are going snow-shoeing or something else earlier in the day, please do join us. In your RSVP, please let me know what time you will be stopping by. A TV will be on for those who want to watch the Bowl Games. We can also play cards or board games, watch the Rose Parade, go for a walk in my neighborhood or do whatever else you think of to enjoy the first Day of the New Year. Please only send "yes" RSVPs. Please do not send "no" RSVPs. I will know you are not coming via the attendee list. Thank you. Happy New Year!
