Hi Kevin - enjoyed meeting you. Now you have a new place to take your dog for an outing. Perhaps we will see you on another hike.

We will have great weather for the hike tomorrow - be sure to wear a light jacket as it gets breezey on top the hill. Those who prefer a moderate walk can meander the beautiful trout stream that runs behind the Crossroads Coffeehosue - there is a paved path. A table will be allocated in the coffehouse for people to set their produce down before going on the hikes. See you tomorrow afternoon. (Birders may wish to bring binoculars!)

Are there any plans for a hike earlier like at 2:00, on the nearby Ice Age Trail or at Indian Lake? I think you can hike the Ice Age Trail from the IAT Alliance office in Cross Plains which is near the Crossroads Coffeehouse.

Hi Paul - I had outside input on the start time and 2:30 was what was suggested, and since I advertised as such I have to be in the Crossroads parking lot at 2:30 to greet those arriving. HOWEVER, I am pleased to say that the Ice Age Trail has an organized hike that DOES begin at 2 pm tomorrow. They are coming in from the north end opposite the Scheele road entrance that our hikers will be starting from, so you would park at the Table Bluff trail head. You can hike through and meet up with our group as we come in. I just talked to the hike organizers and there will be a vehicle to return you to the start point if wanted. Here is a link to the 2 pm hike details: http://dane.iceagetra...

For those attending - can you give me a heads up if you are bringing children - if so I will make sure to have strawberries on hand. Strawberries tend to mask the taste of vegis - it has been a great way to get my kids to eat kale, cruciferous, etc. Think about what produce you plan to bring - an email or message would be helpful - we are wanting to make sure we have some key smoothie/juicing staples.
Crossroads does have wine, sandwiches, etc if you get hungry - if it is raining we will forgo the hikes but WE CAN meet up to get to know one another prior to!

Lora Lee - we may repeat this come harvest time when everyone can bring vegis from their gardens!

Prior to the vegi throw down everyone is invited to meet in the parking lot at Crossroads Coffeehouse, for a hike at 2:30 pm. (vegis and fruit can be left inside the coffee shop). Those with physical challenges may wish to enjoy the paved walk along the creek.

For those who can handle an incline, a hike at Swamp Lovers/Table Bluff Segment of the IAT will take place, gathering at 2:45 pm. Hikers wishing to enjoy the blooming wildfowers at the Swamp Lovers prairie can drive directly to the location off Scheele Road or carpool from Crossroads.
(In case of rain the hikes will be canceled but the Vegi Throw Down will go on as scheduled.)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
