"This Means War" movie - romantic/comedy/action opening 2/14

A new movie is coming out on Valentine's Day that sounds pretty fun and funny: "This Means War".   It has a one-time showing only on Valentine's Day, at 7:00 --- I would strongly encourage either showing up early or buying the tickets in advance at[masked] (see comments below).  If it gets really packed, I will have to give up untaken seats as it gets closer to show time, out of courtesy for other moviegoers.  If you purchased your tickets ahead of time and post it, I will know that and can still save your seat. Following is the information about the movie:

Witherspoon stars in the McG-directed comedy-action film as a seductive female dating two of the world's deadliest CIA operatives (played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy) whose partnership and friendship is put in jeopardy when they begin to battle for her affections. Instead of 'fessing up to her about the love triangle, they try to settle the matter using all the weapons at their disposal.

The film also stars one of Witherspoon's real-life pals, comedian and "Chelsea Lately" host Chelsea Handler, who gives Reese's character the terrible advice that she should continue dating both men.

Unfortunately I didn't really meet anybody. I don't know the group, and the pictures are too small to really tell what people look like. I did enjoy the movie, though.

What a wonderful way to spend Valentine's Day!! Kudo's to Kathryn for bringing the group together for a very fun movie, and good conversations with friends.

The movie was hilarious and the company was fantastic. I was SOOO impressed that others even beat me and helped me save seats. It was kind of shocking and incredibly kind to be greeted by our group when I entered the theater and headed to the game machine. Thank you all! It was a wonderful Valentine's Day with all of you!

Huma and Felicia --- you both ARE still going. I just took you off of one group since you are signed on to both so that if someone still wants to come, they are not closed on. You are still signed up through Energizers/this group! Look forward to seeing you there.

I checked, and Atomic Koi is open until bartime. It is an Asian-type retro bar, new to the area. It sounds really nice, and it is Ladies' Night after 8 pm. (not that guys can't come). It has a whole medley of drinks, from martinis to mojitos, mixed drinks to beer. This is the website http://atomickoi.com/home/ Of course, other options are Great Dane, Good Times, Benvenutos, Casa Del Sol, Barriques, etc. See you there. :)

Heading home from work, on time. Will shovel and head to theater...plan on being there at 6:20-6:30. See above note for how to find me. :) Then after movie we can figure out where we want to go. There should be plenty of local areas, not too far.

I will be in the lobby at 6:20-6:30. If there is a line, I will be in the line. (I don't know if there will be one.) When the doors open for seating, I will go and claim our seats. If someone else shows up,20- then I will let them hold our seats and return to the lobby to greet people. I will stand by the games.

I mean it is the phone number to purchase a ticket ahead of time for the movie. I will plan on being there at 6:15 or 6:30, in the movie theater. My goal is to save a spot for us in the middle if I can get there early enough.
If anyone helps me to save spots inside, I can be in the lobby to greet people and guide them....

(ps....it will initially say it starts Friday, but when you click on Star Cinema, it will say there is one additional showing that doesn't accept passes for Tuesday at 7 pm. Then it will ask if you want to purchase tickets.)

[masked] is the phone number to reserve a movie. It is just coming out tomorrow, for the one show only--special showing. Then it is not playing again until Friday.

Beth -- don't worry, I am coming from Lodi. That is why I chose a movie a bit later. :)

This Means War is playing -- only one showtime, at 7:00. I would need to show up early to hold a spot for us, i.e., 6:30, with our large group. Between the two groups, we have 23 people signed up. Would anyone want to hang out with me and and hold spots? We could definitely go out afterwards. There is Great Dane, Atomic Koi, Benvenuto's, Good Times, etc. Note that you can purchase your movie tickets in advance via phone if you wish to ensure you have a ticket if you do not suow up early.

Great ideas, after the movie at Great Dane would work better for me.

Eric from SP-DA had 2 really good suggestions: Casa Del Sol on Fish Hatchery before the movie, or the Great Dane afterwards. Any preferences?

Hi all! Cindy had a great point, and I am wondering that if that's not possible, what about meeting afterwards for a short while?

Would anybody be up for a drink an hour or so before the movie??
