Glassblowing demonstration and UW student Art Glass sale

If you happen to be downtown for Farmer's Market, perhaps you'd like to stop by the UW Art Glass Studio at 111 North Frances for the semi-annual glassblowing demonstration and student art glass sale. This coincides with the 50th anniversary of the UW Art Glass program and is simply fascinating to watch. There will be student art glass works for sale if anyone is interested, and all proceeds go to support the UW Art Glass Studio.

Afterwards, we can get lunch downtown if you'd like. Hope to see you there!

Watching the glassblowing was fascinating, and it was great to see everyone. Thank you all so much for participating.

I might suggest the Nitty for lunch and entertainment. I have a group of friends that are raising money for the American Cancer Society DetermiNation program. They will be (as a team) running a marathon in the Nitty Gritty on a treadmill.

Hi again, folks. there is a change of address for the location of this meetup. The glassblowing meetup is at the UW Glass Lab which is in the Art Lofts Building at 111 North Frances Street, not the previously stated location on W. Mifflin. I want to make sure everyone gets to the right builidng. Sorry for any confusion. Please call me on my cell phone at (608)[masked] if you cannot locate us.

Hi, everyone! I'm looking forward to seeing you at the glassblowing event. We'll meet at the UW Glass Lab at 10 AM, and we can stay for however long you all are interested. For those who'd like to do lunch, I'm up for suggestions . . . Dotty's? Nitty Gritty? Or somewhere near the Square, like the Great Dane? Whatever restaurant you like, I am in 100%!

I won't be able to make this. One of my student workers took a glass blowing class last year and loved it.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
