Trick or treat! Oh come on, Halloween will be here before you know it. And besides, what a totally FUN holiday, especiallly if you come and celebrate with the Madison Energizers!
Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, but never fear, we will party on just the same. I have reserved a great spot that's been kind to us--the "John Wayne" room at the Vintage Brewing Company. We will have appetizers and our own private cash bar.
Even though this falls on a night during the workweek, costumes will still be encouraged (but not required). In fact, we will hold a costume contest with a special twist. There will be prizes for best costume in TWO categories, "Naughty" and "Nice." Here's how it works:
1. If you decide to dress in the "naughty" theme, think of characters that are notorious, evil, monstrous, villains, or just plain "bad guys." Nothing X-rated, please!
2. If you decide to dress in the "nice" theme, think of characters that are heroes, noble, sweet, or just plan "good guys." Again, nothing X-rated, please!
Halloween is an opportunity to be creative while enjoying this fun event. A costume is not required to participate in this activity. To see a list of ideas, please google AFI’s List of 100 Heroes and Villains. This may be helpful if you are trying to decide on what to wear. Party City is one place to check about a month or two before Halloween because they usually have an affordable, nice selection. As an alternative to the “Naughty or Nice” theme, you could come as a favorite movie star, rock star, or someone from a TV commercial. We want you to come and have fun with us on this spooky night.
Be as creative as you like and have fun with this. We can hardly wait to see what you come up with. :) See you soon!
